The Prince of Pop, Ali Zafar, made his Bollywood debut with Tere Bin Laden, and will be seen starring with Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan in “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan“, a romantic comedy set around a love triangle. It is a “topsy-turvy story” set amongst upper middle class families in northern India, and that Imran Khan plays a character who falls in love with his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancé (Katrina Kaif). Ali plays a Hindu boy named Luv. It is set to release in mid-2011.
Recently during the shooting of the film at a studio, Ali had to give up his favorite guitar.
While Ali was shooting, a guy who liked Ali’s music would come on the sets everyday. Ali noticed this and went up-to him. Says an eyewitness, “Ali learned that the guy was a struggling musician. He gifted the guy his lucky guitar to wish him luck.”
There are a couple of other projects Ali is considering, and he has verbally agreed to one of them. He says, “Half the scripts that have come to me have me as a singer or a rock star (grins)! Anyway, I definitely see myself doing two or three films back-to-back in the near future.”
