As the ongoing Cricket World Cup unfolds, the Pakistan Cricket Team’s performance has stirred many emotions among fans and celebrities. Actors Mawra Hocane and Ahmad Ali Butt took to social media to share their thoughts, shedding light on the diverse viewpoints regarding the team’s display.
Ahmad Ali Butt, in an unreserved Instagram Story, openly expressed his sentiments regarding Pakistan’s performance. He initiated his message with disillusionment, a sentiment that struck a chord with numerous cricket fans. He wrote, ‘Similar to numerous other aspects in this nation, our cricket has been deeply politicized to its core.
“There will be no accountability for this, and fingers will be pointed along with political moves on who controls the team, but the fact is in our performance. Seems like a ‘software update’ is due,” said Butt on his Instagram Story. He wrapped up his message with the hashtags ‘Cricket World Cup’ and ‘Pakistan Cricket Team.’
On the other hand, Mawra Hocane utilized X to present a more positive viewpoint. Citing an ICC post, she recognized Pakistan’s eventful journey in the World Cup. While acknowledging the hurdles, she emphasized Pakistan’s sportsmanship at its core.
She further said, “We may falter over and over and over, and yes, we need to improve our game…and we need a miracle right now to even survive…but through victories and failures…through generations…no one gives respect to opponents like us!” stated the star. She praised the Pakistani mindset that values respect for opponents, even in adversity. “I’m proud that my country isn’t bitter.”
