Salman Khan Chose Me First: Anoushey Ashraf

Renowned VJ and host Anoushey Ashraf revealed details about her meeting with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, stating that he chose to interview her first upon learning she was from Pakistan.

Appearing on a private TV channel’s show, Anoushey discussed her career, the evolving media landscape, and her encounter with Salman Khan.

Commenting on the rise and fall of music channels in Pakistan, she highlighted how their emergence created job opportunities, while their closure left many unemployed.

“The closure of music channels impacted many artists’ businesses and reduced their popularity,” she said, acknowledging that technology and social media are now reviving the music industry.

Expressing her love for the horror genre, she shared, “I love scary movies, and if given the opportunity, I would love to work in a horror drama or film.”

Recalling her memorable experience interviewing Salman Khan in India, she described it as “the best experience of my life.”

She explained that she and her team had approached Salman Khan’s team for an interview and visited his shooting location. “A hundred people were waiting for the interview, but when Salman Khan found out we were from Pakistan, he gave us the interview first,” she said.

According to Anoushey, Salman Khan warmly welcomed them, saying, “You have come from Pakistan, so you are our guests.”

Speaking about marriage, she emphasized, “Marriage should be done with great thought and after truly understanding the other person.”
