Asma Abbas noted the lack of good scripts for senior actresses on TV.

Asma Abbas, coming from a family full of talent, managed to achieve success in her acting career , she’s always a joy to watch on screen.

During a chat on PTV’s Star and Style, Asma pointed out the lack of good scripts for older actresses on TV. She expressed disappointment that most roles offered to senior actresses revolve around stereotypical themes like matchmaking or family troubles, rather than reflecting the richness of their life experiences.

Asma also mentioned how casting decisions are now influenced by an actor’s social media following. Producers and directors often check an actress’s online popularity before considering them for roles, even if they’re seasoned performers like herself.

Despite these challenges, Asma shared that she receives positive responses when she shares snippets of her daily life and family on YouTube. While she does encounter trolls and negative comments, she prefers to focus on the supportive and genuine interactions she receives from her audience.
