Atif Aslam to Perform at WCL Opening Ceremony

Pakistan’s most versatile music icon, Atif Aslam, will electrify the opening ceremony of the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) at Birmingham’s historic Edgbaston cricket stadium this July.
The pop music maestro will deliver a thrilling live performance before the tournament opener on July 18, where hosts England Champions will face Pakistan Champions.
WCL, a premier T20 league, features retired and non-contracted champion cricketers from Pakistan, India, Australia, South Africa, the West Indies, and England. Last season, India Champions defeated Pakistan Champions in the final at Edgbaston to claim the title.
Renowned for his soulful voice, Atif recently sang and starred in the official anthem of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Jeeto Bazi Khel Ke. He has also lent his voice to multiple PSL anthems and performed at PSL opening ceremonies.
Beyond music, Atif has a deep-rooted passion for cricket. Before becoming one of South Asia’s most celebrated singers, he aspired to be a professional fast bowler during his school and college years.
Fans in Birmingham and across England will witness an unforgettable night of music and cricket as Atif takes center stage at the WCL opening ceremony.
The second edition of WCL will run from July 18 to August 2 in England, with 17 matches played across four venues: Edgbaston (Birmingham), Headingley (Leeds), Grace Road (Leicester), and Northamptonshire CCC. The final will take place at Edgbaston on August 2.
A highly anticipated rematch between last year’s finalists, Pakistan Champions and India Champions, is set for July 20 at Edgbaston.
