Bushra Ansari Criticizes Trivial Titles in Current Dramas

In a recent series of videos on her YouTube channel, Bushra Ansari has been expressing her candid thoughts on various topics. One subject she tackled head-on was the decline in meaningful titles of contemporary Pakistani dramas, as opposed to those from earlier times.

During her reflection, Ansari lamented the shift in focus from titles that encapsulated the essence of the story, characters, and emotions of the drama to titles lacking depth and resonance. She contrasted current titles like “Bechari Tanno,” “Bad Naseeb,” and “Allah Mari” with the impactful titles of yesteryears, such as “Mahe Kinan,” “Zingar,” and “Tanhayan.”

Questioning Creativity

Expressing her dismay, Ansari questioned the absence of creativity and thoughtfulness in the selection of modern drama titles. She expressed incredulity at titles like “Muje Talaq Chahyea” and “Muje Talaq Ho Gai,” emphasizing the shallowness of such choices. She even pondered whether there was a shortage of words in the dictionary, given the uninspired titles being churned out.

Ansari’s disappointment extended to the lack of familiarity with certain titles among the audience. She recounted an incident where people approached her seeking clarification on the meaning of “Zebaish,” highlighting the disconnect between the titles and their relevance to viewers.
