Celebrities including Mahira Khan and Osman Khalid Butt Mourn the Death of Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry, the comedic co-star of the 1990s hit TV sitcom “Friends,” passed away. His lifeless body was discovered in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence. Other celebrities have joined in expressing grief over his loss. The widespread outpouring of sorrow for the beloved comedy actor has saddened even South Asian celebrities. 

Actor Osman Khalid Butt said on X. “Chandler became my whole personality for a while there (and I suspect it was the same for so many). I owe that character and Matthew Perry’s pitch-perfect performance so much. You were there for me, Perry. Rest in peace.”

Ahmad Ali Butt captioned an image with “Goodbye, Chandler Bing. Matthew Perry, 1969-2023.” Sarwat Gilani bid farewell to the celebrity in a video with the words, “Farewell, our friend!”

Mirza Gohar Rasheed paid his respects on Instagram Story with a cheerful Chandler illustration and stated, “Rest in peace, friend.” Mahira Khan shared Perry’s quote, “There’s nothing better than a world where everybody’s just trying to make each other laugh,” and added, “Thank you for the innumerable laughs.”

News of Perry’s death emerged on a Saturday following the discovery of his unconscious body in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene. While medical examiners will establish the precise cause of death, no foul play is anticipated. NBC and Warner Bros Television Group also verified his passing.
