Farhan Saeed: ‘Here for a Concert, Not an Assembly’

To win over student fans, Farhan Saeed set an example by standing up to their teachers at a concert. Earlier this week, while performing at a university during his Pakistan tour, the singer-songwriter grew frustrated as teachers insisted the students sit down.

“Let the crowd connect; just relax!” he told the guards and supervising teachers. As cheers filled the venue, Farhan singled out one of the officials, saying, “Why wander around in a rage? I don’t want them sitting down—they’re enjoying themselves! Sitting kills the energy.”

Wearing a T-shirt, jeans, and sunglasses, Farhan took it a step further, calling out to those trying to control the crowd. “Guys, I’m here for a concert, not an assembly!” he declared, adding, “I love an energetic crowd!”

The Viral Movement of Farhan Saeed

The moment quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media with praise for Farhan’s humor and warm personality. “Ah! His famous, uncanny humor!” wrote one follower. Another commented, “There may be a thousand great singers, but what truly stands out is a kind person—and that’s exactly who he is.”

With a loyal fanbase built from his musical start in Jal, his relationship with model and wife Urwa Hocane, and his role as Hamza in Mere Humsafar, Farhan has deepened his connection with fans. As one fan shared in Urdu, “It felt so good when Farhan told off those teachers! It reminded me of my own—why shouldn’t we have permission to enjoy ourselves after paying for it?”

As he continues his tour, Farhan is also starring opposite Hania Aamir in Kaisi Hai Ye Ruswai. The pair previously captivated audiences in Mere Humsafar, where Farhan’s portrayal of Hamza became iconic. Farhan embraced fatherhood this year when his wife Urwa gave birth to their daughter in January, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
