Fiza Ali Advocates for Amicable Relations Between Divorced Couples

Actress and television host Fiza Ali emphasized how couples can end their marriage amicably and remain good friends.

On the morning talk show ‘Good Morning Pakistan,’ the actress spoke openly about her divorce and expressed disappointment with how her colleagues discussed her ex-husband Fawad Farooq. Fiza revealed that she decided to leave acting because she felt upset by the backbiting from mutual friends about him, despite no animosity between them when they separated.

“Whatever issues I had with Fawad, it doesn’t give an outsider the right to step up and abuse him in this manner. Especially when I haven’t said anything about him, as a friend, why are you backbiting about him?”

Fiza stated that she found it challenging to cope with the misbehaviour exhibited by people. Particularly friends who kept pressuring her to disclose the challenges she faced during her marriage, even though she and her ex-husband remained close after their divorce.

“I was never abused or beaten during my marriage, Fawad was not that kind of person! There can be several reasons why a couple can end their marriage and it doesn’t solely mean abuse was innvolved.”

Fizza’s statement emphasizes the crucial reminder that every person has the right to privacy. Instead of making assumptions and acting hastily, audiences must learn to respect others’ boundaries and mind their business!
