For criticising Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi has received a lot of backlash.
Shahid Afridi, a well-known cricketer, is now showing an interest in politics, as do all Pakistanis. The batsman congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on his PMship, which was not well received by his fans at the moment.
In a recent interview, Shahid Afridi commended PM Shahbaz Sharif while criticising Imran Khan, saying that he admires Shahbaz Sharif’s efforts in Punjab. He went on to say that during Imran Khan’s reign, he committed a lot of blunders. He further stated that Imran Khan should not have travelled on roadways and that the issues might have been resolved within parliament. However, he stated that as a sportsman, he has always supported Imran Khan.
His subsequent negative statement on Imran Khan sparked widespread public outrage and hatred. Fans despise him and call him derogatory names. They are not even thinking about his stardom and his achievements and stating that they can sacrifice many like Afridi for Khan, they are suggesting that Afridi must have gotten money from PML-N.
