From Depression To Surgery, Sheheryar Munawwar Looks Back On A Tough 2020

As 2020 is coming to an end, Sheheryar Munawwar reflected upon the year and says that it has been really tough for him. He posted his latest picture on Instagram and wrote :

“It’s not special because it’s a shirtless shot; it’s special because for me it’s a celebration of this year’s personal journey.”

He further told that a few months back his life was a mess because he suffered from depression and in spite of being a workaholic, sluggishness overtook him. Well, talking about stagnation, I think all of us were in the same boat during 2020 because of Covid and lockdown, isn’t it?

Sheheryar also revealed that he suffered from Covid too and went into isolation for a few weeks which was terrible for him. Then he had a motorbike accident, because of which he had to undergo surgery. At that time, he was restricted to bed only and had rely on others for performing basic tasks of day to day life. This was very traumatic for him as he was on strong meds too and was gaining weight. Talking about that time, he said:

“Confidence was completely shattered and it felt as i’d hit rock bottom”

The Parey Hut Love star says that after recovery he wasn’t allowed to lift weights and he was in no condition mentally or physically to go in front of the camera. He had bills and salaries to pay too, and then he decided to fight back.

“I worked with a trainer to develop workouts that would involve more focus based exercises without weights. I started eating healthier, forced myself to fix my sleep cycle, started meditating, mustered up the courage to speak to a therapist, actively worked on having a positive outlook on life (reading and research really helped ) and basically went on a lifestyle change/detox,” 

Munawwar’s last appearance on TV was opposite Maya Ali in ‘Parey Hut Love’ and now they both have paired up again for drama serial ‘Pehli Si Mohabbat’ which is going to be aired on ARY Digital. The actor recently appeared in some sensational photoshoots alongside Syra Yousuf and Maya Ali, and we are waiting anxiously for his comeback on the screen!
