Haris Rauf’s Inspiring Journey: Sold Snacks to Pay for School

Haris Rauf initially began his cricket journey in tape ball cricket. Later, he ascended to become one of the Pakistan Cricket Team’s top stars, actively playing for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL.

In a candid interview, Haris Rauf openly discussed his financial challenges throughout his life and career. He disclosed that his father worked as a welder, earning just enough to meet their monthly food expenses. Haris also shared that his mother harboured a longstanding dream of owning their home.

Harif Rauf and His Cricketing Journey

He openly acknowledged that he initiated his cricket journey with tape-ball cricket due to its potential monthly earnings, which ranged between 2 to 2.5 lakhs. However, he was conscious of the transient nature of this source of income. He also took up a job in a Rawalpindi market to make ends meet. Alongside covering the household expenses, he allocated a portion of his earnings to support his mother while strategically setting aside some funds for future investments.

Haris went on to reveal how his father was overcome with emotion when he presented a high-end car to the family, causing tears to well up in his eyes. His father expressed that occupying such a luxurious vehicle felt beyond his station. Nevertheless, he couldn’t have been prouder of how his son had diligently provided for the entire family, bringing them joy and stability.
