“He Was My Hero”: Humaira Arshad Remembers Her Late Father

Singer Humaira Arshad mourns her late father, whom she calls her hero, sharing the deep pain of his sudden passing and the lasting impact on her life.

Appearing on Zardast, she opened up to host Wasi Shah about the sorrowful moment she lost her father. “He suddenly fell ill, suffered a stroke and a heart attack, and passed away. I did everything I could as a daughter, but it was God’s will,” Humaira recounted. She expressed the shock of the unexpected loss, as her father had shown no prior signs of illness.

Recalling the moment she received the news, Humaira shared, “I was in Karachi for a show when I learned he was in a coma. I prayed fervently, but I didn’t even get to speak to him one last time. It was devastating.”

Her father remained in a coma for three months before passing. “Seeing him on a ventilator felt like my world had ended. I was overwhelmed with grief,” she explained.

Despite the pain, Humaira finds solace in his memory and continues to honor his life through prayer and charity. “I admired him not only as my father but for his devotion, his love for the family of the Prophet, and his way of life. He was truly extraordinary,” she concluded.
