‘I never copied Ariana Grande’ says, Aima Baig

Aima Baig has become the leading Pakistani singer in the last couple of years and there is no competition in her division at the moment but the only criticism she faces is that many people accuse her of copying Ariana Grande but in her recent Instagram live session she broke her silence on it and bashed all the accusations of her copying Grande.

“Just a pony and a liner like her doesn’t make me like Ariana Grande. I don’t even wanna be like Ariana Grande,” she said.

She did admit that she is inspired by the work of Grande but that doesn’t mean that she copies her.

“I love her. Her vocals are the biggest inspiration for me. But  I don’t wanna be her. I love her style. But I also love Hania’s style. Sometimes I love Selina’s style, Momina’s style.”

Adding on, Baig argued that it’s completely fine to adopt someone else’s look every now and then.

” It’s ok kay ager aap kisi kay style ko copy kar rahay ho (if you’re copying someone else’s style). It doesn’t mean that you’re copying that person completely. You’re just being inspired by that one person and you wanna try it on your self and see how you look.”

She also took a dig at the memes made on her on the social media saying, “If that makes you guys happy or laugh then that’s the least I can do for you all. So go ahead Laugh out loud,”
