‘I Used To Like Babar Azam A Lot, But Not Anymore,’ Sonya Hussain

As Pakistan’s national cricket team struggles in the 2025 Champions Trophy, frustration among fans continues to grow, with celebrities like Sonya Hussain also expressing their disappointment.

Sonya Hussain recently appeared on a special television broadcast dedicated to the tournament, where she shared her thoughts on Pakistan’s performance. When asked about her favorite cricketers, Hussain admitted that her admiration for Babar Azam had changed over time. “I used to like Babar Azam a lot, but not anymore,” she stated.

Although she mentioned having a new favorite player, she was unable to recall their name at that moment. Speaking about Pakistan’s campaign in the tournament, Hussain described it as “disappointing,” adding that the team’s poor showing had left many fans heartbroken.

Meanwhile, the Champions Trophy has reached its final stages, with India, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand securing semi-final spots. The first semi-final will take place in Dubai on Tuesday, featuring India and Australia, while the second semi-final will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday between South Africa and New Zealand.

The winners will face off in the final on March 9. If India qualifies, the match will be held in Dubai; otherwise, Lahore will host the final showdown.
