Iffat Omar Testifies against Ali Zafar

Famous Actor and actress, Iffat Omar appeared in court on behalf of Meesha Shafi to support her allegations filed against Ali Zafar.

She said that Meesha was disturbed before she took to Twitter to reveal the incidents she has been facing in past. She added that Meesha and her mother Saba Hamid were well-established celebrities who are highly respected within the industry and artistic circles. “I can never imagine that they would ever lie,”

She testified that Meesha visited her home before her initial tweets and she was visibly disturbed but Meesha did not reveal when asked. “She only detailed the incident after she went public with the allegations,” Iffat said.

She further told the court that she was aware of the allegations leveled by renowned makeup artist Leena Ghani, Maham Javaid and Humna and that she fully believed in the allegations made by these women.

Iffat further added that there are other renown named who have alleged Ali of such sort of things which they didn’t go public due to the fear of public backlash.

“It is very difficult for any woman to go public with something like this,” Iffat noted in her statement to the court. “I’m not supporting Meesha just because she’s my friend.”
