Imran Abbas Meets Iraqi PM, Attends Arbaeen Event

Renowned Pakistani actor Imran Abbas recently had the honor of meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani during his visit to Iraq.

Abbas, who was invited as a distinguished state guest, took to Instagram to share a photograph of the meeting, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister for the warm reception and the opportunity to participate in the significant Arbaeen event. In his post, Abbas highlighted the importance of the occasion and conveyed his deep appreciation for the invitation, which allowed him to experience the rich cultural and religious heritage of Iraq firsthand.

In his message, Abbas mentioned that he has the honor of representing Pakistan at this grand gathering for the second consecutive year.

He emphasized that around 25 million pilgrims from various backgrounds converged in Karbala, Iraq, to commemorate one of Islam’s most significant sacrifices.

Who is Imran Abbas?

Abbas began his acting career with a role in Umrao Jaan Ada in 2003 and has since appeared in numerous television serials. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Hammad Raza in the 2011 spiritual-romantic series Khuda Aur Mohabbat, a role that marked a significant turning point in his career.

Abbas is particularly well-known for his performances as Adeel in Dil-e-Muztar (2013), which earned him a nomination for Best Actor Popular at the Hum Awards, and as Hadi Salman in Alvida (2015), for which he won Best On-Screen Couple alongside Sanam Jung. His other notable works include Akbari Asghari (2011), Mera Naam Yousuf Hai (2015), Tum Kon Piya (2016), Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai (2017), and Koi Chand Rakh (2018).
