Iqra Aziz Clears the Controversy Over Wedding Dress Similarity

Iqra Aziz, a renowned actress, found herself entangled in controversy when a wedding scene from her drama went viral During her appearance on The Pick And Drop Show hosted by Yasir Hussain, Iqra Aziz shared the reason behind wearing a dress similar to a Saboor Aly. She explained, “We needed a traditional dress as per the director’s request, but despite searching extensively, we couldn’t find one. That’s when the director shared a picture with me, and I discovered it was by Faiza Saqlain. So, we reached out to Faiza Saqlain, and I asked her to modify the shirt to make it slightly different.”

Iqra Aziz clarified that she was inspired by the picture and didn’t want an exact copy. She decided to retain the dupatta and gharara to stay true to the original design. Keeping the jewelry simple and traditional, she took charge of the overall look. She emphasized that it wasn’t copying but rather drawing inspiration from the beautiful look she saw. Iqra Aziz admitted, “I thought Mannat should look like her. I didn’t inform anyone about taking inspiration, and technically, it wasn’t her dress; I borrowed it from the designer. I didn’t anticipate it becoming a big issue; otherwise, I would have asked her, as I like to keep people happy.”

Additionally, she mentioned taking inspiration from Priyanka Chopra for her wedding dress. Iqra Aziz’s explanation sheds light on the creative process behind her fashion choices and highlights her intention to create a beautiful look inspired by others without causing any issues.
