The assailants targeted Hassan’s car, throwing acid and hurling stones and wooden sticks, which shattered the car’s windscreen. The attack took place at the university’s gate, where Hassan was an invited guest for a pre-planned ceremony. In a video message shared on YouTube, Hassan detailed the harrowing experience and displayed the damage inflicted on his vehicle.
Hassan and some of his team members sustained minor injuries during the attack. He recounted how the attackers attempted to open his car door, but the university’s security guards intervened, securing the car and escorting him safely into the university premises. Despite this, the attackers continued to chant slogans in support of Haq Khateeb and against Hassan.
