Komal Aziz Admires Strong Women and Loves Stress-Eating
Komal Aziz is the go-to example for mastering fiery comebacks to handle unsolicited remarks. The actor-turned-entrepreneur, now running her clothing store, recently showcased her sharp wit during a Q&A on Instagram Stories.
When asked in Urdu, “Why have you gained weight?” Komal quipped, “Slowly turning into a seth [businessman] with a mota pait [fat stomach],” accompanied by a wink emoji. She clarified, “Just kidding. Running a business is stressful, and I end up stress-eating during tough times.” Adding a humorous twist, she noted, “I don’t smoke, so eating calms me.”
Komal also addressed challenges in her business. When asked about relocating her store, she replied, “The landlord was acting greedy, so I said bye.” Highlighting her resilience, she remarked, “Many weak men think a woman running a business alone is exploitable. Little do they know.”
Not all comments were supportive, but Komal didn’t hold back. To a suggestion to lower her prices, she fired back, “Kindly work harder, get a second job, or upskill yourself.” She defended her store, adding, “Our clothes are the most affordable, especially during sales.”
