Mariyam Nafees Announces Pregnancy, Expecting First Child

Mariyam Nafees revealed that she and her husband, director Aman Ahmed, are expecting their first child.

Sharing the news on Instagram on November 29, 2024, the couple posted heartfelt photos and videos with the caption, “Oh, baby! We’re having a baby!!! ?? Baby AmYam coming soon, InshAllah! ??” Mariyam also requested prayers from fans, writing, “Please keep us in your prayers ??.”

Showbiz personalities and fans flooded the comments with congratulatory messages. Mariyam and Aman, who got engaged in 2021, tied the knot in March 2022.

In a recent interview on Gup Shap with Vasay Chaudhry, Mariyam opened up about navigating relationships in the entertainment industry. Responding to a question about her outspoken stance on social issues, she shared, “I’ve learned that no one is truly your friend here. Most connections are just professional acquaintances. My real friends were already part of my life before joining this field.”

The Jaan-e-Jahan actress also criticized the trend of social media BFFs, stating, “Real friendships are deep and consistent. Posting pictures doesn’t make someone a true friend.” She emphasized her focus on maintaining a small, genuine circle.

Speaking about her career approach, Mariyam highlighted her professionalism, saying, “On set, I focus entirely on my work. Thankfully, we now have collaborators who are open to discussions. If a script element doesn’t align with my values, we find common ground.”

During a podcast, when asked for advice on marital relationships, Mariyam emphasized the importance of honesty and boundaries. She said, “Wives should share everything with their husbands, except details about past relationships. Every relationship has its boundaries, and mutual respect is key.”
