Merub Ali’s Alleged Faith Change: Unraveling the Truth or Propaganda?

Merub Ali appears to have visited the revered and stunning Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, sharing a series of images from the location. In one photo, she dons all-black attire, accentuated by pink and orange dupattas on her head and shoulders, framed against what appears to be an entrance arch. The second post features a video of her walking, her face concealed by a black mask. The third image captures the picturesque view.

Despite the innocuous nature of the images, people questioned Merub’s decision to visit the site. Many angrily demanded answers in the comments, questioning why the star had entered the site, regarded as one of the holiest in Sikhism. One user commented, “You shouldn’t have gone to [the] gurdwara,” horrifyingly adding the vomit emoji alongside.

Another Instagram user bluntly inquired, “You haven’t become a Sikh, have you? You don’t go to a mosque, but you definitely want to go to the worship places of disbelievers.” However, Merub didn’t accept the comment quietly and responded fittingly. “News flash,” she began. “Anyone can go to a gurdwara! You should go too. The people were really kind there. Maybe you can learn a thing or two.” The star added the white heart emoji alongside.

Kartarpur Sahib, or Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, stands as a significant Sikh place of worship in Kartarpur, Pakistan. It attains historical importance as it was constructed on the site where Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, settled after his missionary travels. Guru Nanak resided here for 18 years until his passing in 1539. This gurdwara is revered as one of the holiest sites in Sikhism, along with the Golden Temple in Amritsar and Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib.
