Mikaal Zulfiqar, a long-time industry staple with numerous hit projects, recently revealed his favorite role. Known for his diverse performances, the actor considers his portrayal of a toxic, narcissistic, and controlling character in Jaisay Aapki Marzi as his best work, despite the character’s dark traits. Critics and fans praised his nuanced depiction of the complex role.

Appearing on After Hours with Ushna Shah, Mikaal expressed that Jaisay Aapki Marzi stood out due to its powerful writing and well-crafted scenes. “It was one of my best performances,” he shared. “The character was flawed—full of himself, superior—but the scenes were so well done, and Saba Qamar’s performance made it feel real.”

Mikaal revealed the emotional response from fans, especially women who saw their own experiences reflected in his character. “I received messages from women who related to the character, saying their husbands were similar. While it was rewarding to see the impact, it was also heartbreaking.”

Reflecting on commercial success, Mikaal emphasized the importance of audience reach. “Commercial success matters. You put in all that hard work, and for it to have meaning, it needs to reach a wide audience.”
