It was his own money; let him do whatever he wanted to do with it. Those who criticize it are the ones who don’t spend a penny on charity, and they don’t also criticize the ones who are earning money through various other haram ways. Such social media users should direct their criticism towards those who give inappropriate gifts like guns and lions. He was gifted a lion cub; he hasn’t kept it himself at home.
