In an interview with Fuchsia magazine, Mohammad Ahmed sahab claimed that while senior performers’ characters have developed in recent years, resulting in widespread acclaim from the audience, formal recognition has not improved. He claims that performers his age will not be recognized for their work because most award ceremonies do not honor supporting actors, and older actors are unable to perform on stage, which is often a requirement for receiving an award.
