Nazish Jahangir Nearly Boarded Crashed PIA Flight

Actress Nazish Jahangir revealed on the Footprints Podcast that she was supposed to be on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight 8303, which crashed in Karachi nearly five years ago.

“I had a ticket for that flight and planned to travel to Karachi after spending 60 days in quarantine, but I couldn’t go,” she shared.

Recalling the tragic crash, she expressed gratitude for not being on board. “After hearing about the accident, I was grateful that I wasn’t on that flight.”

Nazish also shared her initial impression of Karachi. “When I first landed in Karachi from Islamabad, I didn’t like the city, but now I’ve started to like it.”

She admitted to frequently missing flights despite her efforts to be punctual. “There are multiple reasons why I miss flights. I try my best to avoid it, but it still happens,” the Meray Mohsin actress said.

She even recalled a time when she missed six flights to Karachi on the same day.

The PIA flight, which crashed in Karachi’s Model Colony in May 2020, resulted in the deaths of nearly 100 people, and caused significant damage to nearby homes. Some local residents also lost their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.
