Nimra Mehra, a talented Pakistani singer, gained widespread recognition for her song “Tu Subha Di Pak Hawa Warga,” which went viral on social media, accumulating 48 million views in just seven months. Despite her professional success, Nimra carries a heavy emotional burden due to the tragic loss of her parents.

Personal Tragedy:

Appearing on Zabaradast hosted by Wasi Shah for Neo News, Nimra opened up about the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding her parents’ deaths. Reflecting on her mother’s battle with cancer, Nimra shared the financial strain her family faced while managing her mother’s treatments. Despite the belief that treatment in Pakistan is available for free, Nimra’s family encountered exorbitant medical expenses, compounding their emotional distress.

Tears welled in Nimra’s eyes as she recounted her mother’s final moments, highlighting the pain of witnessing her suffering while feeling helpless to alleviate it.

Nimra also spoke about her father’s sudden passing from a cardiac arrest. Tragically, she was unable to be by his side as he breathed his last in the hospital due to traffic restrictions during a Pakistan Super League match. Expressing frustration with the prioritization of traffic protocols over human life, Nimra Mehra pleaded with the government to reconsider its security measures, emphasizing the unnecessary risks posed by excessive security for political figures and international sports celebrities.
