Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has welcomed his second child, announcing the birth of his daughter on Instagram to the delight of his fans.

In his Instagram story, Nawaz shared, “With the immense blessings of Allah, we have been blessed with a daughter,” along with a photo of himself in hospital attire.

Nawaz married Izdihaar in South Africa in 2018. Their first child, a son, was born in 2020. The addition to their family brings immense joy and happiness to the Nawaz household.

Recently, during the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Pakistan’s star fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, welcomed the birth of his baby boy, whom he named ‘Aliyaar’.

Who is Muhammad Nawaz?

Mohammad Nawaz (pronounced [m???mm?d n?wa?z]; born on 21 March 1994) is a Pakistani international cricketer. In August 2018, he was among the 33 players to receive a central contract for the 2018–19 season from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Nawaz was born into a Pashtun family originally from Akbarpura, a village in the Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His family has been settled in Rawalpindi, Punjab, for many years, where Nawaz completed his early education at F.G. Boys School.

Mohammad Nawaz made his Twenty20 International debut for Pakistan on 29 February 2016 during the Asia Cup against the United Arab Emirates. He was tasked with bowling by captain Shahid Afridi and conceded 38 runs in 3 overs. This decision drew criticism from head coach Waqar Younis, who felt it was “unfair” to put the young player in such a situation, claiming it “destroyed the youngster’s confidence.”

Nawaz later made his One Day International debut for Pakistan against Ireland on 18 August 2016, where he impressed with a half-century. In September 2016, he was named man of the match in the final of the 2016–17 National T20 Cup.
