Public Wants to Have Quaid-e-Statue Azam’s Removed from Bahria Town

Political figure Quaid-e-Azam was also a lawyer and the leader of Pakistan’s Islamic Democratic Party. He is referred to as Baba-e-Qoum (Father of Nation). After his passing, a number of institutions—including schools, colleges, universities, and statues—were named in Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s honour after the Quaid. In addition, several places, including hundreds of parks, airports, medical schools, and roadways, bear Jinnah’s name.

In Bahria Town, Lahore, a statue of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has been erected. The society contains a large statue of the nation’s founding father sitting on a sofa seat, which quickly attracted everyone’s attention.

The audience was eager to react as the image of Quaid-e-statue Azam’s being erected in Bahria Town went viral on social media. The Quaid statue has drawn criticism from online users who claim that the artist botched the sculpting and gave Quaid an ugly appearance. The keyboard warriors also suggested that the statue be taken down as soon as feasible by the authorities.
