Rabya Kulsoom Calls on Brands to Prioritize Cricket Over Endorsements

Rabya Kulsoom took to social media to criticize brands for featuring cricketers in advertisements, urging them to let players concentrate on their sport instead.

Posting on Instagram, she strongly appealed to brands to stop hiring cricketers as ambassadors, emphasizing that their primary role is to play cricket.

“I request all brands to stop using cricketers as their brand faces and let them focus on what they are supposed to do—play cricket,” she wrote.

In a sarcastic remark about Pakistan’s performance, she suggested that actors Fahad Mustafa and Faizan Sheikh should be made team captains instead, implying that it might yield better results. “Maybe @mustafafahad26 or @mfaizansk should be made captain! Maybe we’ll get better results,” she added.

Her comments quickly went viral, sparking a mixed reaction from fans. While some supported her stance on cricketers’ off-field activities, others defended the players’ right to engage in endorsements.

Rabya Kulsoom’s remarks have fueled a debate on the impact of commercial interests on Pakistan’s cricket team. The actress, known for her roles in Pakistani dramas and web shows, began her career in 2017.

Meanwhile, actress Sonya Hussain also shared her thoughts on Pakistan’s cricket performance during a special broadcast. She revealed that while she once admired Babar Azam, her opinion had changed.

“I used to like Babar Azam a lot, but not anymore,” she stated, adding that although she now has a new favorite player, she couldn’t recall their name. Calling the team’s tournament performance “disappointing,” she noted that it had left many fans heartbroken.
