Saba Faisal Turned Down Indian Ad Before Kashmir Attack

Senior actress Saba Faisal revealed on Nida Yasir’s morning show that she recently turned down an ad offer from a well-known Indian brand — a decision she now feels grateful for.
“Tensions between Pakistan and India have risen, and India is making baseless accusations,” she said. “Just as Indian artists are standing with their government after the Pahalgam incident in occupied Kashmir, we should support ours.”
Saba urged Pakistani artists to back their country and send a clear message in response to India’s allegations.
Recalling the offer, she said, “Two months ago, I received an offer to work in an Indian ad. At first, I was open to the idea, but when they asked me to audition, I declined. I didn’t have time for it, and as a senior actress, I felt it wasn’t appropriate.”
She directly told the director she wouldn’t do the project. According to her, the director’s assistant was shocked and called to ask why she had refused.
“Now, with the current situation, I feel even more confident in my decision,” she added. “If I had accepted that ad, I don’t know what people would be saying today.”
