Shabbir Jan Reflects on Teenage Marriage and Losing His Mother

Shabbir Jan is a beloved veteran actor in Pakistan, with a career spanning decades. He has consistently adapted to changing times and continues to impress with his acting skills. Married twice, his second wife is actress Fareeda Shabbir.

In an interview with Sajid Hasan, Shabbir Jan shared details about his teenage marriage and the profound impact of losing his mother. He revealed that he got married at the age of 18. Recalling his younger years, Shabbir described himself as a wild child who often ran away from home for weeks. After one such adventure, he returned home only to find himself married to his first wife.

Reflecting on his teenage marriage, Shabbir admitted that at the time, he was simply happy to be getting married without fully understanding the concept of marriage. He was informed about the marriage by his mother and, having never been in a relationship before, accepted it without question. To this day, he remains unsure whether it was his mother or father who made the decision. From this first marriage, Shabbir has six children.

Shabbir also shared his deep bond with his mother. She was his staunch supporter and protector, often shielding him from his father’s harsh discipline. She always stood by his dreams and ambitions, providing him with unwavering support. This close relationship continued until her passing, a loss that deeply affected Shabbir. He feels that his world changed the day he lost her, and he continues to miss her dearly.
