Sharmila Faruqui Slams Hina Bayat For Judging Hania Aamir, Yashma Gill’s Outfits

Hania Aamir and Yashma Gill turned heads with their spirited performances and bold fashion choices at Yashma’s sister’s mehendi celebration. Videos of the duo, joined by Dananeer Mobeen, dancing to Bollywood classics like Badi Mushkil and Do Dhaari Talwar quickly went viral on social media, earning praise for their infectious energy and charm.

Dressed in short cholis paired with flared lehengas, Hania and Yashma showcased their vibrant personalities on the dance floor. Meanwhile, Dananeer complemented the trio’s dynamic presence in a more traditional long kameez. While fans admired their performances, the actresses’ modern outfit choices became a topic of debate online.

Veteran actor Hina Khawaja Bayat was among the critics, commenting, “I was wondering if people have forgotten something called a kameez,” in response to a video shared by blogger Afia Qazi. Bayat’s remarks prompted a swift defense from former Sindh Assembly member Sharmila Faruqui, who took to Instagram to counter the critique.

“Stop judging women with their choice in clothing. If that’s the case, then all men should wear sherwanis and not suits,” Faruqui wrote.

The incident has reignited discussions about fashion, individuality, and cultural expectations at traditional events, with many applauding the actresses for expressing themselves confidently.
