Sultana Siddiqui’s Wisdom for Mothers-in-Laws

Sultana Siddiqui is a prominent figure in Pakistani entertainment. As a veteran of PTV and the founder of Hum Network, she has played a significant role in shaping media content in Pakistan. Known for bringing unique and engaging stories to television, Sultana has also shared valuable insights on family dynamics, particularly regarding mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law.

Recently, Sultana Siddiqui discussed the often-highlighted “saas bahu” (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) relationships that are common in many dramas on Hum TV. During a conversation with Masarrat Misbah about parenting and family relationships, she provided important advice for mothers-in-law. She emphasized the need for mothers-in-law to be more understanding and supportive when a new bride joins the family. Sultana encouraged them to treat their daughters-in-law like their own daughters, as many young women may feel anxious and out of place when entering a new household.

Sultana also shared advice for daughters-in-law, suggesting that they should be mindful of their new family’s traditions and values. She urged them to show respect to their elders and to treat their mothers-in-law with the same love and care they would show their own mothers. This mutual respect, she believes, is essential for helping daughters-in-law feel at home and comfortable in their new surroundings.
