Yasra Rizvi Reveals Why Celebrities Avoid Talking About Religion
Actress and writer Yasra Rizvi has revealed why many celebrities hesitate to discuss religion in public.
Speaking on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, the Aangan actress shared her perspective on religious discussions in the entertainment industry.
According to Yasra, entertainment industry figures avoid talking about religion due to fear of criticism.
“People often taunt us, saying, ‘Now actors will teach Islam?’” she said.
Urging celebrities to take a stand, Yasra called on them to share the true teachings of Islam.
“If we, as Muslims, don’t spread the right knowledge, then who will?” she questioned, warning that continued silence would only fuel misconceptions and harm society.
The Wo Dobara actress stressed the need for proper religious education for the younger generation.
“Most parents treat Islam like a school subject, limiting it to Quran reading and religious studies,” she explained.
