Hiba Ali Khan’s powerful portrayal of Kashmala, the first wife of Danish Taimur’s character in the popular drama Jaan Nisar, has sparked controversy.

Her character’s relentless schemes to disrupt the lives of Danish Taimur and Hiba Ali Bukhari’s characters have led to threats from viewers who struggle to separate fiction from reality. In a recent interview with GeoDigital, Hiba revealed that she was harassed through Instagram messages, accused of “unforgivable sins” for her role in the drama.

Khan shared that she immediately accepted the role, drawn to Kashmala’s lively and complex nature. She explained that while her character has been despised on social media and YouTube reviews, the final episodes will show why Kashmala is so bitter, and viewers may begin to sympathize with her.

Discussing the challenges of filming during extreme heat, Khan recalled how the director fainted twice, and both she and Hiba Bukhari fell ill.

In another interview with Independent Urdu, Hiba added that while Kashmala’s actions cannot be fully justified, her backstory will reveal how circumstances shaped her character into the antagonist viewers see today.
