Bushra Ansari Was Offered to Play Akshay Kumar’s Mother in Bollywood Film

Renowned Pakistani artist Bushra Ansari recently offered a glimpse into her illustrious career, spanning multiple creative dimensions. Beyond her achievements in singing and acting, she has proven her prowess as a prolific writer, authoring books and contributing to the scriptwriting of 11 drama serials and 50 short plays. In a surprising revelation, Bushra Ansari shared an intriguing episode from her career when she was presented with an opportunity by Yash Raj Films to play a role alongside Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, portraying the character of his mother.

A Bollywood Venture with Akshay Kumar

Bushra Ansari recounted the offer from Yash Raj Films, a renowned Bollywood production house, which approached her for a role in a film starring Akshay Kumar. In this experience, she was set to assume the role of the acclaimed Bollywood actor’s mother, a key character in the film’s storyline. Moreover, Sawira Nadeem was cast alongside her. However, the project encountered an unexpected setback when the Pulwama attack occurred, leading to its abrupt suspension and eventual abandonment.

Stellar Rise of Bushra Ansari from a Young Age

Bushra Ansari’s journey to stardom began at a tender age, as she rose to prominence at just nine years old; her initial claim to fame came through her participation in a children’s program on Pakistan Television (PTV). In the year 1967, she earned a modest remuneration of Rs.20 for her work at PTV, a sum that would later become a stepping stone to her illustrious career. Despite her young age, her talent was undeniable, and her earnings steadily increased, eventually reaching Rs.90.

However, she fondly recalled a time when her mother diligently managed her earnings. As she flourished in her career, Bushra Ansari’s family received recognition from the government of Pakistan through four civil awards. Her father, two sisters, and herself all received this esteemed acknowledgment, accentuating the depth of talent and dedication within their family.
