Masaba Gupta Confronts Ramiz Raja for Laughing at Racist Joke About Her Parents

In a bold move on Twitter, renowned celebrity designer and actor Masaba Gupta confronted ex-cricketer and former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Ramiz Raja, for his inappropriate laughter at a racist joke directed towards her legendary father, Vivian Alexander Richards, and her mother, Neena Gupta.
Expressing her disappointment, Masaba emphasized the importance of grace, a quality she believes Raja lacks. In a tweet, she stated, “Dear Ramiz Raja (sir), grace is a quality few have. My father, mother, and I have it in spades. You have none.”
Masaba condemned Raja’s laughter on national TV in Pakistan, highlighting that the joke in question was something the world stopped finding amusing around three decades ago. She called for a step into the future, urging Raja to reconsider his actions.
“All three of us are here with our chin up,” Masaba asserted, emphasizing resilience in the face of such insensitivity. The celebrity trio, Vivian Alexander Richards, Neena Gupta, and Masaba Gupta, stands united against racial insensitivity.
This incident sparks a crucial conversation about the need to eradicate racism and promote inclusivity in the world of sports and entertainment. Masaba Gupta’s bold stance resonates with those advocating for a future free from racial discrimination.
