Ali Abbas Pushes for 18+ Social Media Age Limit and ID Checks

Pakistani actor Ali Abbas appeared as a guest on Adnan Faisal’s podcast, where he expressed concerns about adolescents excessively using social media platforms like TikTok.

He highlighted Pakistan’s alarming economic situation, noting that it is increasingly difficult for families to cope with rising taxes and inflation. Despite these challenges, Abbas observed that children are engaging in harmful activities that damage their mental capacity and negatively influence their peers.

The actor emphasized that these juveniles are partaking in behaviors that severely impact their brain development. He urged the younger generation to engage in activities that foster character development and improve mental well-being.

Ali also stated that an age limit of 18 years should be imposed and monitored and proof of identity in the form of an ID Card or passport should be required before opening an account. He further added that the younger generation is losing their way and becoming negative while the content they are making is also inappropriate to watch.

The podcast aired on YouTube a few days ago, prompting Ayesha Omar to respond, agreeing that the younger generation should engage in activities that positively impact them, including outdoor pursuits, and suggesting that teens reduce their social media usage.

Additionally, she called on society to create a safer environment for children, enabling them to participate in outdoor physical activities without worrying about their safety.
