Shoaib Akthar Ties The Knot
Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar secretly married a girl almost half his age.
Its being reported that Akhtar, 38, tied the knot with Rubab, 17, daughter of a Haripur businessman.
Reportedly, Akhtar took Rubab into wedlock on June 23, 2014 in Mohalla Ramzani in Haripur. Only close family members were invited to the Nikah ceremony.
Sources told reporters that the ‘match’ was ‘fixed’ in Mecca.
“Akhtar’s family ran into Rubab’s while performing Hajj last year and jumped to seal their newly found acquaintance into a relation”, sources said.
It seems his 17-year-old wife aged three years in a month and is now reported to be 20 –a curious case of time-traveling.
