Dania Enwer Says Family Backed Her Divorce

In an interview with Ahmad Ali Butt, actor Dania Enwer opened up about how her family played a crucial role in helping her move on from her first marriage. “My family supported me throughout, and I consider myself fortunate—because not everyone has that kind of backing. When you’re surrounded by such support, outside opinions don’t matter,” she said.
Dania described her mother as an empowering figure in her life. She explained that she initially hid her marital issues to protect her parents from worry. “For a long time, I didn’t tell them what I was going through because I wanted to spare them the pain and fix things on my own,” she shared.
She recalled the moment she finally reached out. “When I was ready, I called my mom and told her, ‘Things are not great. I’ve tried my best, but now it’s either the marriage ends, or it ends me.’”
Her mother responded calmly and supportively. “She told me, ‘Everything has a solution. I know you’ve tried. If it’s not working, that’s okay. Other paths exist. Just relax.’ That conversation started the journey toward my separation—with my mother right beside me,” Dania said.
After the divorce, her mother encouraged her to step into the world of acting. Dania credited her family for giving her the freedom to rebuild her life. “They never imposed restrictions or pressured me into remarrying. They motivated me to start again.”
Following her struggles, Dania took a break to heal. She said her two children kept her grounded and inspired her to stay strong. “My son and daughter were both very young, but experiences like these make kids grow up faster than they should,” she reflected.
Though the healing process was tough, Dania faced it head-on. “I dealt with PTSD, but I identified my problems and worked through them. Everyone makes mistakes—it’s how we recover that defines us. For me, closing that chapter was my saving grace.”
Dania is now married to Farhan Baig, son of veteran actor Nadeem Baig.
