Shamoon Abbasi Opens Up About Strained Relationship With His Mother

Shamoon Abbasi, a well-known actor, director, and producer, recently discussed his troubled relationship with his mother on Alief TV’s show ‘Meri Maa’. He opened up about the distance that grew between them due to her strict nature, particularly after her separation. Additionally, he talked about his relationship with his father during the episode.

Shamoon recounted how his mother became distant and stopped communicating with him after the separation. Despite missing her presence deeply, he observed her resilience as a hardworking and capable businesswoman who eventually remarried but faced another separation. He urged her to find peace and relaxation, emphasizing that he was now willing to support her but needed her to calm down from her perpetual anger and blame towards him.

Reflecting on his father’s death, Shamoon Abbasi shared his mother’s emotional reaction upon hearing the news. She expressed her grief, saying, “Today, I have become a widow,” which deeply affected Shamoon as it highlighted her enduring love for his father despite moving on.

Tragically, Shamoon was unable to see his mother before her passing because she did not inform him of her deteriorating health. He received a call notifying him of her death, revealing his regret that no one had seen her for two days after she passed away despite a family supposedly taking care of her.

He further said, “I was actually upset with my mother. I had heard she had blood cancer, so I stayed with her and took care of her during her illness. However, after she recovered, she started arguing with me, which upset me, and I stopped visiting her.”
