Faisal Kapadia’s musical journey from novice to maestro

Faisal Kapadia is experiencing a personal renaissance, which is not influenced by the discontinuation of Strings. Instead, it is driven by the pursuit of something new. His first solo single, Jaadu, is a result of his epiphany during Coke Studio 14 while collaborating with Young Stunners on the remarkable song Phir Milenge. In our last conversation, Faisal had revealed his plans of travelling the world and invest in stocks before entering the show. However, everything changed when he realized he had much more to give and discover.

Song’s Build Up

Faisal’s song Jaadu begins with a simple melody but quickly ventures into new musical territory for him. However, he appears to be at ease in this musical space. In his deep, raspy voice, he sings, “This world is like a dream, with a blue sky above, and it’s only you everywhere I look.” Faisal’s baritone voice seamlessly blends with the bass and electronic beat accompanying it. In the chorus, he croons, “You possess everything, the stars of the universe, everyone calls out for you. Your magic is all over me, when you’re by my side,” exuding a gallant and poetic charm.
