Humayun Saeed’s Story of Landing a Role in The Crown

Humayun Saeed, a renowned actor, recently shared his experience of being selected for a role in the popular series “The Crown” during an appearance on The Knock Knock Show, hosted by Mohib Mirza. In the show, he revealed the rigorous audition process he went through to secure the role of Dr. Hasnat. Humayun expressed his initial disbelief at landing the part, considering it a stroke of luck. He recounted feeling both shocked and elated when he received the news, especially since he was already an avid viewer of the series.

Despite his excitement, Humayun admitted to feeling some apprehension when asked to audition for the role. He shared that he was initially given two scenes to prepare for the audition, and was later informed that there were eight actors from India and Pakistan vying for the same role. Determined to make his mark, Humayun diligently prepared for the auditions, seeking guidance from Nadir and even auditioning alongside Elizabeth Debicki.

As the audition process unfolded, Humayun gradually progressed through the ranks, eventually securing a spot in the top two contenders. However, despite his efforts, there was a period of waiting and uncertainty before he received the final confirmation. Reflecting on the experience, Humayun emphasized the importance of persistence and maintaining a positive mindset, as he ultimately received the call when he least expected it.
