Emraan Hashmi Denies Javed Sheikh’s ‘Jannat’ Shoot Claims

Veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh recently shared his “unpleasant” experience of working with Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi in the 2008 Hindi film Jannat. In response, Hashmi dismissed the claims, calling them “bizarre.”

During a recent TV appearance, Sheikh criticized Hashmi’s behavior on set, describing him as cold and unfriendly. He stated that, unlike other Bollywood stars he had worked with, Hashmi never engaged with him. “I did not talk to him at all after filming,” Sheikh revealed.

Reacting to these allegations, Hashmi refuted them, saying, “I was in my 20s back then, and he is much older than me. We were never friends, and I didn’t hang out with him. But I don’t recall anything like this happening.”

He further questioned Sheikh’s perspective, adding, “I don’t know what he has taken back with him, but he has held on to it for 16-17 years. As far as I’m concerned, this is just a misunderstanding that has now blown out of proportion.”

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Jannat was a crime-romance film featuring Emraan Hashmi, Javed Sheikh, and debut actress Sonal Chauhan. The film was a box office success and received positive reviews.
