Hareem Farooq Returns to the Big Screen Alongside Faysal Quraishi in ‘Mango Jatt’

Making a big-screen comeback, Hareem Farooq stars alongside Faysal Quraishi in the film Mango Jatt. Parchi star returns to cinema under Abu Aleeha’s direction after 2019’s Heer Maan Ja with Ali Rehman Khan.

Mango Jatt also marks the Khaie star’s first-ever Punjabi film. This big-budget extravaganza is poised to redefine Punjabi cinema and will bring together a constellation of seasoned actors from Punjab and Sindh.

Director Aleeha revealed to The Express Tribune, “The movie is unique, casting experienced theatre actors from both Punjab and Sindh. It will unite the provinces’ fan base.”

Aleeha had previously shared, “At the helm of this stellar ensemble is the inimitable Faysal Quraishi, who steps into the shoes of a Punjabi hero for the first time and will be essaying the titular role in the film.” The renowned TV star’s experience speaks for itself. The actor has given many blockbuster projects and shows.

With the script finalized, the casting team is actively negotiating with three A-list female stars for the coveted lead role. The chosen female lead will bring charm and charisma to the movie with an exciting performance. The director mentioned, “We’re in talks with three big female actors for the protagonist role and are yet to finalize a name.”

Aleeha’s movies have been released OTT and gathered much international space and appreciation. He made nine movies so far, including Kataksha, Sheenogai. Tevar, Udham Patakh, Shotcut, and Kukri had set their blazing marks on cinema screens.
