She also appeared in the feature film Janaan, which was a hit in 2016.
Recently, Mishi Khan has been posting her videos and vlogs frequently on Instagram, where she often talks about dramas and gives her reviews. Recently, she gave her review that mostly in Pakistani dramas, writers show women wearing hijab as oppressed, while women who are self-confident and empowered are always shown in Western attire.
She said, “Why is it always that our writers show hijab-clad women as oppressed, helpless, and scared? Their characters are always afraid. Meanwhile, a modern girl wearing Western dresses is shown as having a bad character, out of control, and a club member. The girls with Western dresses are always shown going to clubs. Why do they always show this extreme in the dramas?” Watch here:
Social media users are coming up with mixed reactions with few saying it’s a Western propaganda against Muslims while others are saying it is somehow relatable as well.
