In a recent episode of Nashtar, Naeema Butt’s character and perceived overacting faced severe public backlash. In the scene, she is shown begging for her relationship with Shah Dawood, who responds by insulting her and assassinating her character.
Social media users are criticizing Naeema Butt’s acting, with many saying she only suits in the roles like Rubab. Fans are criticizing the makers for casting her in a character like Tanseek which doesn’t match with her personality. One wrote, “She looks older than Danish Taimoor, and her entire get-up makes her look even older.” Another asked, “Who cast this girl? She doesn’t even know how to act!” One wrote, “She doesn’t look like Tamseel, she looks like Naeema because there is no acting in the scene. Many are also criticizing her cheaply written character, saying that the lack of self-respect in Tamseel is highly irritating.
