She emphasized the significance of psychological self-improvement over matrimonial pursuits, underscoring a desire to focus on personal growth.

Citing a pervasive concern, Resham openly admitted her apprehension about the escalating divorce rates within society.

Drawing from her observations of failed marriages in her social circle, she voiced a genuine fear, providing insight into her decision to remain unattached.

Who is Resham?

Resham, hailing from a Punjabi background, received her early education in Lahore until the 10th grade. Raised by her elder sister after losing her mother at age seven, she began her career with a minor role in television dramas before making her film debut with “Jeeva” in 1995.

Throughout the 1990s, she gained recognition for successful films like “Sangam” and “Ghunghat,” earning a National Award for Best Actress. Despite Lollywood’s decline in the early 2000s, Resham made a comeback in 2014 with “Swaarangi,” addressing drug addiction issues.

She later participated in a 2017 fashion week and played a vital role in the TV series “Naagin” from 2017 to 2019. Resham also took on diverse roles in projects such as “Noor Bibi” and “Muthi Bhar Chahat” in 2019.
