Fawad Khan Reconnects with Bollywood Friends Ranbir and Karan

Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan recently opened up about maintaining his connections with Bollywood, specifically highlighting his relationships with Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar. Despite the geopolitical tensions that have kept him away from Bollywood since his 2016 hit, Fawad Khan’s Bollywood friends remain a part of his life.

In a recent interview, Fawad shared that he continues to enjoy a good rapport with several Bollywood celebrities. “We end up talking on chat or on call, so I’ve stayed in touch and enjoyed a very good relationship with the Kapoor family,” he revealed. He fondly reminisced about his experiences, mentioning that there is still a lot of love and respect between him and filmmakers like Karan Johar and Shakun Batra. “There are friendships. There are some Indian producer friends with whom I chat sometimes too. We plan to meet somewhere… So on and off, we talk. We’re still very cordial and there’s no love lost,” Fawad added.

When asked about Ranbir Kapoor’s controversial blockbuster Animal, Fawad expressed his interest in watching it. “I am yet to watch it, but I do want to. It is on Netflix, but I couldn’t so far. Everyone has been recommending it to me,” he said.

Upcoming Projects

While Bollywood might miss his presence, Fawad is set with his next project, Barzakh. Directed by Asim Abbasi, this Zee Zindagi original reunites Fawad with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed. The show, set in the scenic Hunza Valley, tells the tale of a 76-year-old recluse inviting his estranged family to his wedding with the ghost of his first love.

In addition, Fawad is gearing up for a triumphant return to Bollywood after an eight-year hiatus. He will star in a romantic comedy alongside Vaani Kapoor, directed by Aarti Bagdi. Set against the picturesque backdrop of London, this project has already generated buzz, with fans eagerly anticipating Fawad’s return to the big screen.
